It has been served to me for as long as I can remember by my mother, and every other Greek woman I’ve ever been forced to eat with 😉  Of course that’s not a bad thing at all.  It is a very inexpensive dish to make, and although I’m not an expert on the dish I do know that the roots of the dish go very far back.

It’s not a hard dish to make, and I believe that may add to it’s popularity. It comes down to oil, peppers, tomatoes, rice, meat and spices. Anybody can find those items and put it in a pan right? Â Well of course they can, and with the help of my Greek stuffed peppers and tomatoes recipe below you will be savoring the flavor in no time!
Stuffed Peppers and Tomatoes – Greek Style
Ingredients:
- 2 medium tomatos
- 14 small peppers
- 2 cups rice
- 1tbs parsley
- 1tbs cilantro
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 medium red onion
- 1tsp tomatopaste
- Salt & pepper as desired
Execution:

saute beef ( no oil needed ) add chopped onions and garlic, sautee five minutes. Throw in the rice along with herbs and tomatopaste. Season the beef and cook until beef is done. Rice does not have to be cooked through

fill peppers and tomatos, salt and pepper on top. Add 1 cup of water to the pan, cook in preheated oven under air circulation on 180 celcius for 50 min.
