Im a mom,a greek girl, married to an American living in Germany and cooking Internationally with a weekly budget.Im a singer,a dancer,a bookkeeper,a personal assistant trying to change the world my way.
I been cooking meals for my famiy since I was 13, my mother gave me instructions on how to make greek lentil soup ( recipe on the greek page ) so that we would have something warm to eat for my sister and I when coming home from school if she hadnt cooked the night before for the day after!
I loved cooking since then, besides, my greek family is in and around the kitchen and stove all day. My Gpa cooks any meal you ask him to even though you just came from a dinner with your friends, he’ ll still ask you if you want something to eat…. ( try to talk a greek person out of something ).
I remember my mom asking if I was hungry and wanted a toast ( and thats the double toast with cheese and ham in between, melted in the toaster, greek style) I’d say no that I wasnt hungry and she would still ask, and I finally gave in and said ok, but I would receive 3 double toasts ( nothing wrong with that, right?).
Lets just say that my american husband gained a little weight at the beginnig of our relationship until he almost now understands my Greek family
My greek family also doesnt sit in the living room area, thats why we have a dining table and a couch in the kitchen to hang out there and eat and cook whenever you please. Growing up to a young lady and after College when I met my husband we moved to the US for almost two years and I fell in love with the cooking shows.
I have been watching for ten years straight ( no joke ) everytime I watch TV it is a cooking show. Having a family and a child made me even more creative with food, I can cook 5-6 different meals out of a ten pound bag of potatoes and get creative with my food experimenting with left overs and food I have left in my pantry until my next shopping trip. Because I have a weekly budget ( will try to find time and show you how I budget ).
Enjoy & give those recipes a try and let me know how they turned out.
Efharisto! Danke! Thank you!
